Hair Chalking

I've been seeing all these bright colors in hair for spring. In high school I wasn't afraid to try crazy colors in my hair but as I've gotten older I've gotten much more conservative. I found this new trend on-line - hair chalking. I thought I'd try it out just to see how I liked it.
Not gonna lie, it's pretty cool. It's fun to try bright colors for a day or two at a time.

I tried a light color first just to make sure I liked it. I'm excited to try more colors now!

Daughtry!

When I was in high school I LOVED Daughtry! I honestly kinda forgot about them over the years and havent really been following them but they just happened to be playing last Saturday night at the rodeo. I always wanted to see them in concert, so of course we went.
Let me just say that he was pretty dang good!

Colt didn't know any of their songs but he got to watch Bobby Mote ride so it was all worth it for him. I am just getting super excited for Saturday night. Colt surprised me with Star Tickets to Finals Night and front row seats at Dierks Bentley {my absolute favorite}!! Can't hardly wait!!

Just got some wedding pics back. I've been playing with them all day. I'll do a big post when they are done but I just have to post this one. It totally cracks me up how Carson and Bea {the youngsters} are watching us kiss when no one else is paying attention. Click on the pic - you'll laugh!

Rodeo Time!

It's rodeo time in San Antonio. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is the biggest indoor pro rodeo of the year. It is seriously like the NFR but there is a carnival outside, stock show, and a concert every night with the rodeo. It is a blast. Colt is Heaven being here right now. I'm loving it too.
So the other night Colt's favorite bareback rider, Clint Cannon, was riding so he really wanted to go. Keith Urban was performing that night too so we decided it was worth it, so we better go.

Colt LOVES Texas Roadhouse. We now live about a mile from one and Colt is in Heaven.
Today Colt was working and asked if we could go a date tonight. I was excited because he usually just wants to come home and relax after working all day, so date nights are a weekend activity. So he gets home and says we are going to Texas. Shoulda guessed. He just had his heart set so I agreed. I have had no appetite lately so I was going for mostly his company anyway. We went, he ate, I ordered dinner, didn't eat it and I just packed it for his lunch tomorrow. He is stoked. I was just glad to have a mid-week date night :)

Yesterday was our one month anniversary. Totally cheesy and I am 100% aware its not even a real anniversary buuuttt I love crafting so it was a great excuse to make something. Soooo I made this...

Dierks Bentley's new album, Home, came out yesterday.

My wonderful husband surprised me with it. It's such a good album! If you like him, go get it! It's so worth it!!
