FaceTime with Felix.

I decided I should probably document my new favorite thing to do. Everyday I FaceTime my nephew, Felix. It is the funniest thing because he gets sooo excited to see me. Totally makes me feel good. :)

I always take screen shots of him and I need to post... they are just too cute.

This one really cracks me up. Aspen went to make Felix a bottle and left the phone in his crib so I could talk to him. He picked up the phone and just kept smiling at me. It was cute that he was doing by himself without Aspen holding the phone up for him.

Christmas spirit came early...

...Ummm false.

If I had it my way, my tree would be up, stockings would be hung, Christmas candles would be lit and I would have Christmas carols on all the time.

To be honest, I already do have the music playing. Usually I wait til October 1st for music. I also watch Elf every year on the 1st of October. Part of it is because I really hate Halloween so I try and just ignore it. The other part is that it just makes me so happy! But I always wait to break out the decorations in November but this year I am having a really hard time waiting.

I am not sure if it is because I know Tag will be here for Christmas or what but I am seriously struggling. I don't know what to do...

How do I make my Christmas spirit go back to sleep for 2 more months?!!!

hey there third trimester...

Yahoo! I am officially in the third trimester. I have been waiting for this for what seems like forever. 12 weeks to go 'til my due date.

Today's appt went well. He measured up perfectly and his heartbeat sounded good. The doctor laughed because when he went to listen to the heartbeat, he put the wand on my stomach and Tag jumped and his heartbeat went up. I guess the doctor scared him lol.

Here is my 28 week picture. Colt keeps telling me how he can't believe how big I am. Lovely huh? But he says it's in a good way... as good as getting huge can be I guess? Men. Anyway, I haven't taken a posted a picture for a couple weeks because I feel like an elephant and it sucks. But I know I will regret not taking them later so here is week 28...

I also got my RhoGam shot today. Shots haven't ever really bothered me but I swear it's getting worse... but it's done!

My little ninja baby has kicked his kicking into full gear. Ribs, sides and TONS of very low kicks. They hurt.
I have also gotten to the uncomfortable stage. No matter what I do, I ache and can't get comfy.
My tailbone still hurts. I read a thing today where a girl broke her tailbone during her delivery... now I am scared for that. I didn't even know that could happen! Haha, I am not going to stress myself out but it just hurts all the time and it's annoying. I've been working out more thinking maybe it will help it. So far it hasn't. Oh well, only 12 more weeks right?!

Oh! And guess what came back to visit?? Nausea. Yup. Second trimester is a lovely break from so many things but now the morning sickness is back. Really hoping this is temporary!

I was aching so bad last night. I was complaining to Colton and I realized, I would do this a 100 times over for Tag. It doesn't make it more fun, but I seriously need to stop complaining. I know it will all be worth it come December. Until then... I just need to deal.

baby stuff.

I have been going crazy researching car seats online. I want something cute, but obviously safety is the biggest issue. I have been going back and forth between the Graco Snugride 35 and Chicco Keyfit 30 forever now. So today Colt and I went to Babies R Us and decided to try look in person and get a feel for what we liked best.

We decided on the Chicco Keyfit 30 travel system. It seems really comfy for Tag and has awesome safety ratings. It's also really easy to get in and out of the car and the stroller is really nice too. I finally feel good about it.

We also found this sweet playpen! I was so shocked to see how far these had come. I am use to old play pens that are just that... play pens. Now days they are fancy! This one had a changing deck, bassinet and play pen. Not to mention it vibrates, plays music and has toys. I wasn't playing on buying one of these, but I am sold!

Baby shopping is a lot more stressful than I thought it was going to be. I thought it would just be fun but there are soooo many choices and people telling what is better but then the next two people say they are wrong and this is way better... I get so confused! Hopefully Tag will just be happy and healthy with the decisions we make!

With Colt's crazy work schedule we have been going out on dates very much. I've been cooking a lot. I guess I decided it was his turn to cook...
So we went and tried Saltgrass. It was pretty good. Loved the environment and we had an awesome waiter. That is always nice.

I guess we are just taking advantage of these spontaneous date nights that we probably won't be getting starting in a couple months ;)

List 20 random facts about yourself.

1- i have a really hard time wearing nail polish because i bite it off.

2- i start listening to christmas music in september every year. colt hates it, but it makes me happy.i also decorate super early.

3- cleaning tupperware is probably my most hated chore. sometimes i just throw them away.

4- i burn candles like a crazy person. i literally went through two large candles last week. its not just the smell, but i feel like when a candle is lit, the mood of the room changes and feels homier.

5- i never finish the end of drinks. this drives colton crazy too. it just doesn't taste good.

6- I'm more excited to be a mom than anything in the world. tag already means everything to me and he isn't even here yet.

7- i {with colton} am currently addicted to NCIS. we watch it everyday. and i have a huge crush on DiNozzo.

8- i hate todays music. i have xm radio but only listen to 'sirusly sinatra' and prime country. i feel like old music is genuine and people actually had talent, and i love the stories in the songs... not just a good beat and the same repeated lyrics. new country drives me crazy too... truck yeah? really?

9- i love yoga. seriously. love.

10- my inner self has really a good fashion sense but it never gets portrayed. i dress really boring now and i can't just blame the pregnancy.

11- i sleep talk.

12- i am probably the pickiest eater in the world.

13- it doesn't matter how messy things are in my house, i have to have our bed made and a clean sink. i feel like that makes a world of difference.

14- i love crafting, crocheting, making anything really. but i also get bored easily so it needs to have quick results.

15- i love the gospel.

16- the volume on the radio or tv has to be on a 5 or 10 {5, 10, 15, 20 etc...} always.

17- it takes me years to make decisions. even for small things like what to make for dinner. when i do make a decision i usually second guess myself. i am trying really hard to work on this.

18- i married my best friend. he drives me absolutely crazy... but i miss him when he leaves the room. i will never understand it.

19- everyone says i am just like my grandma heber. we laugh about it but i am pretty grateful for that... i hope i am.

20- i can't sleep and apparently this is the best thing i could come up with to do to pass the time... this is ridiculous.
