"Schlitterbahn!!"

Since we moved to Texas in January, besides Easter when we went home, Colton has not had two consecutive days off. So for memorial day weekend his crew got Friday AND Saturday off! We have been dying to go to Schlitterbahn. It's the biggest water park in the country. Sooo, we got a puppy sitter, rented a hotel, and went swimming Friday and Saturday. Although I couldn't go on any big rides because of the pregnancy, I took full advantage of the lazy river and lots of tanning! It was seriously the most fun that I have had since I have been in Texas. The waterpark is actually only about 30 minutes from our house but we really wanted it to be like a vacation so we rented a hotel and made it "a vacation."

headed to schlitterbahn for day one. sooo excited!

schlitterbahn doesn't have the healthiest lunches, but it held him over.

Yup! He is "that guy" with the lineman tan at the park. ;)

our cute little hotel!

ready for day two!

the only thing we weren't ready for....

OUR SUNBURNS!!! This pic doesn't even do them justice. All the sunscreen in the world made no difference for colt, and I didn't really do my best to avoid the burn so I guess I can't really complain.

Seriously, we really did have the best weekend! We are just soooo thankful for his two days he had off!

"Our Baby Story"

YEP!! We are having a baby!! We were totally surprised but honestly couldn't be happier. Since I havent blogged in forever I feel like this is a pretty good post right?

So, I have endometriosis. It's still a pretty un-known condition so there isn't really a cure. You can do things to help it temporarily but they don't have anything to cure it yet. Another thing about it is that every case is so so different. When Colton and I first got married in January, we got to Texas and I was in alot of pain so I went to the doctor. He checked things out and said I needed to get a laparoscopy done as soon as I could. The doctor just wanted to go in and look to see how advanced my case was and take care of what he could. He also explained that Colton and I might have a hard time having kids depending on my individual case. I know a couple people with it that could never have kids, others that were able to after years of trying or IVF, and others who have big families and just had little surgeries here and there to help. Eventually most cases end with Hysterectomy. He basically said if you want to have a family, he would advise against preventing it because some people takes years to get pregnant. We decided that if we did get pregnant we would be so excited and make adjustments for the baby but we didn't want to wait to try until we were "ready" in-case of infertility.

Well, living 24 hours from all of our family in Texas and traveling so much, we were not planning on having kids for a while. At least until we were settled down, done traveling and had a house. So we scheduled a the surgery the doctor ordered for the beginning of February. I got all prepared, was on a liquid diet and ready to go in the following morning. Surprisingly, the hospital called me the night before the surgery and said my insurance was out of network and we would need to pay an extra $5000 the next day. Well... Colt and I didn't really have 5 grand to just pay out the next day so I cancelled and said I would go to a preferred provider. We were so frustrated. Come to find out, my insurance only covers hospitals in Idaho, where I am from. I was going to fly home, have the surgery and come back. Colt and I prayed alot about our options. He was getting insurance through his new company on May 1st so we just decided to wait a few months and we would have it done this summer.

March and April were so busy for us. My little brother came to Texas, Colt and I went to Heber and visited, we took the annual trip to St. George with Colt's family, spent Easter there, and then came back to Texas with Colt's brother Carson.

When we got back to San Antonio I started getting a little suspicious.
On Friday, April 13th Colt had left for work so when I got up in the morning he was gone and Carson was still sleeping. I decided to take a pregnancy test. I knew the results would be negative because of what the doctor had told me and because we had cancelled the surgery. I took the test, set it down, and went outside to walk the dog. I didn't even want to look at the results because I didn't want to be disappointed. I came back inside and sure enough... POSITIVE!

I couldn't believe it. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to call Colt so bad but his birthday was 8 days away. Colt wanted a baby so bad and I just thought it would be the coolest bday present ever!! I decided to try and keep it a secret. I talked to my mom and Carson had over heard me (or so i thought) so i kindof accidentally spilled the beans to him. He was super excited too. We decided waiting until Colt's bday was too long and I would never be able to keep it a secret so we went shopping. We went to Sheplers down the road and got a toddlers protective rodeo vest. We wrapped it and set it on the kitchen table. When Colt came home he asked who the present was for. I told him it was his birthday present. Of course he wanted to open it that night. I knew he would. So he opened it. He was kindof jokingly mad before he opened it. He kept telling me not to buy him a birthday present because he didn't want me wasting "his" {yeah right} money on his bday. So I had to get him this card. I told him I know he didn't want an expensive birthday present but this was the most expensive present he will ever get!!

Here is the video. Sorry about the horrible laughing/crying sound. I guess there were just alot of emotions and we were just so surprised. We are just so excited!!

It ended up being such a blessing that our surgery got cancelled. I guess this baby just knew when it wanted to come and it is. We honestly couldn't be happier. I can't wait for Colt to be a daddy. He already talks to it everyday and checks up on it from work.

We know how much hard work it is going to be. I'm learning pregnancy is no walk in the park either. Colt is too. I hate being this sick but I know the outcome will be so so worth it!! We just can't wait to meet our little Baby B!

serious catch up...

I can't believe how much has happened since our last post. I definitely won't be able to fit it all into one post but I need to start playing catch up. First of all, Hank and I drove 24 hours back to Utah. Poor kid was bored out of his mind. We played the dumbest games ever, but we were desperate for something to keep us awake on the road. The biggest highlight of the trip...I finally got to meet my handsome nephew, Felix.

Is that not the most beautiful little man everrr!
Grandpa Clay got visit for a day too.

The Beautiful Gulley Family

It was so fun to see everyone while we were home. Especially, little Felix.

Then.... I got to see my dog again! It has been the longest 3 months without that little guy! It was fun because I got there on his 1st birthday. He was soooo excited to see me. It made me feel way good because Colt kept telling me he had forgotten me. I jumped for like 20 minutes straight and wouldnt leave my side. He's a momma's boy. ;)I'm so happy that I finally have him home with me. He loves San Antonio, but that's another post.

He loved his hoof and fresh beef bone!

Another fun highlight, we got to be home for Maddi and Coleman's birthday's as well. Here is Coleman after we woke him up on his birthday. Sleepy little man.

We had to wake up little Keslee too. Just love here.

Cole opening his present, he loved it. :)

Keslee thinks Colt is so funny!!

After visiting Heber, we made our way to St. George, Utah for Uncle Bummer's annual golf tournament. Since we were'nt sure if we were going to make it, Colt didnt golf so we went to the red rocks and to a trail and went hiking for the day. Tuf loved it!!
Dad and Tuf. Love these boys.

tuf was kindof a scary cat... like always. He would jump down the cracks so colt and car had to carry him. Tuf is really the worst name for him!

Handsome Guys!

After St. George, Carson and I took Colton to Las Vegas to catch his flight back to San Antonio the next day. Sadly, I don't have any pictures but we had fun walking the strip. Well kindof, once you do it a few times it just gets old, crowded and tiring. We were all more excited to go back to the hotel, hot tub, and sleep!
The next day, Colt flew home and Carson and I started our 24 drive back to SA. Tuf was so exhausted, he slept in his food bowl. He cracks me up!

My wingman was super tired too...

Overall, we had an amazing trip! I better cut this never-ending post off but just wanted to document. We were so greatful for Colt's time off to finally go home and see everyone!!

Hank came to visit!!

Colt has a few days off for Easter this year so we decided we would go to home to Utah for a couple days. We have also have been trying to get Tuf down here. Apparently, because of boxers respiratory systems, they are no longer allowed to fly on airlines so we decided that I would have to drive home and get him. So this is our plan...

We flew Hank to San Antonio so I wouldnt have to make the 24 hour drive alone.
Hank hung out with us for a week.
Over the next two days, Hank I will drive to Utah. Then Hank will go home.
Next Tuesday Colton will fly into Salt Lake.
Then Colt and I will hang out for a few days and go to Uncle Bummers yearly golf tourny in St. George.
Then Colt will fly back to San Antonio for work the day after Easter and his little brother, Carson, and I will drive back to SA with Tuf.
Then Carson will get to hang out with us for a few days.

It's quite the plan but we are having fun and can't wait to have our dog down here!

Here a few pics from Hanks visit. {mom these are mostly for you, hope you like them!}

When rain comes to stay, the Bangerters will play.

You know the expression "rain on my parade"? In our world, rain starts it. If we have nice weather, Colt will work seven days a week. But if it rains hard enough, especially lightening and thundering, the boys have to call it a day. These are my favorites cuz I get to spend time with my hubs :) Just wanted to post a couple pics from tonight.
Love him. :)

Nothing too exciting is happening in San Antonio right now. I wish I had more to blog to you all back home. I am super excited because I get my hair done tomorrow. It hasn't been done in two and a half months as you can probably see in the pics above. So that's fun.
It's hard traveling because we dont really know for sure how long we will be in each spot so we can't really sign housing contracts or gym memberships. I am not a good runner at all but I really miss the classes i went to everyday, so I ordered INSANITY. I was going to do P90X because I have tried it in the past and I know it does a good job of kicking your butt, but I needed more cardio. INSANITY is by the same company but a 60 day cardio challenge. It gets here tomorrow and I can't wait to start it!! I needed new workout shoes and I had read alot of people who do Insanity use Vibram Five Fingers. I always thought they were the ugliest things... but I tried them on and fell in love! I had to have a pair. So....
I don't think I'll be going to the grocery store or out of lunch in them anytime soon but for working out... they are awesome!! I wore them aroud the house the first night I got them and felt like a ninja all night. Colton got sick of me running from room to room and making ninja jokes... but I totally got a kick out of them.

Well, hopefully I'll have more interesting things to write next post.
We miss you all back home!! X's and O's!
