Binki Comeback!!

A few weeks ago Tag gave up the binki. It was literally almost a full month of no binki. I had mixed feelings. Part of me was glad that we would never have to have a traumatic weaning, the other part of me missed it. Especially in the car.
I don't know what changed but the last three days he has loved it again. We are headed to Heber for Tags blessing tomorrow and it's a four hour trip, so it's just in time.
We will see what happens but I'm loving it for now.

Today

Tag cuddled mom, sat in hims bumbo and chewed on hims fists, and we went for a walk. Mom takes wayyy too many pictures.

So I'm really not a bad mom.
We just thought Tag watching the bachelor was funny... While he still doesn't know what it is.

We decided Tag is big enough to start using the Bumbo and start strengthening those muscles.

Valentine's Day.

Valentines Day started out great and ended... let's just say I'm glad its over!  

Tag and I woke up at 5 to make Dad breakfast. Colt was glad to wake up to a hot breakfast because that doesn't happen on week days since Tag was born.

Tag and I hung out all day while Colt worked.

We made Dad this cute Valentine. He loved it. I loved it too so we can always have Tag's footprints from his first Valentine's Day!

Colt got me some fun stuff too. My fav was this new polka dot sweater. I have wanted one for a while now but haven't left the house much since I had Tag so it was sweet of him to find me one.

At 3:30 we had to go to Tag's two month check-up. Boo. 

Our little man had grown so much!

Tag is 16lbs 4oz and 25' long now. That puts him in the 100th percentile for weight and 97th for height. Big big boy!

Then the worst... his two months shots. He got three shots in his legs and got one immunization orally. Poor guy was so mad but I think it was probably worse on me. I stressed about this appointment all week. The only reason I didn't cancel it was because I knew it would just prolong the stressing. I'm so glad its over.

He fevered that night and the next day. He was definitely more fussy than normal and slept a lot more too. We gave him a bath that night and he was so mad. That's when I knew he really didn't feel good because he LOVES baths.

The only thing I liked about the whole thing was I got lots of extra cuddle time.

So Valentine's was a little hard this year but I am so grateful for both of my Valentine's. I love my sweet boys.

Tag is two months old!

My little guy is two months old! Well in two days but who knows when I will get to blog so I am doing it today. ;) 

I want to try and record his little milestones more, at the least, once a month.

Tag at 2 months.

• First off, Tag LOVES to be naked and have his diaper changed. When we lay him to get changed, his chubby little legs go crazy and the smiles kick into full gear.
• With every baby sneeze we get a "oooooooooo" right after. Its once of my favorite things.
• He is almost sleeping through the night. His schedule 'usually'  is go to bed at 10, wakes up around 2:30 and 6:30 to eat, then wakes up for the day around 9. It's pretty great.
• We are officially in size two diapers. I made the mistake of using a size one in the middle of the night... paid for it this morning.
• His is so much more aware and likes his toys now. He likes to play on his playmat and talk to his toys. He is starting to swat at them too. I don't think he is meaning to hit them but when he gets excited, his arms flail, then he hits them and smiles at the sounds.
• Tag always clenches his fists really tight when he eats but sticks his pinkies straight up in the air. It's pretty dang cute.
• He found his hands on January 30th and is constantly chewing and sucking on them.
• Two days ago he figured out he has a tongue. He sticks it out over and over again a lot now. It's his new thing.
• He really loves baths. If he ever gets fussy and it can't be fixed with a diaper change or food... it's straight to the tub. He loves it!
• He loves talking. If you "oooo" at him he smiles and "oooos" right back. We love having little convo's with him.

Bad Habits

It's funny how before you're a mom you say "I will never do that" or "of course I will do that" but then you become a mom, and things change.

I am the worst when it comes to this. I always swore I would never let my kids sleep with me. But....
When we brought Tag home from the hospital the first few nights I would try to put him to sleep in his mini crib but he would only sleep for about 15 minutes at a time. One night I just laid him in my bed and I fell asleep. That was the first time he slept well through the night. Long story short he still sleeps {very well} in our bed. I have tried a few times to correct my mistake and put him in his crib but it's the same thing EVERYtime.
The worst part is that I am so used to him being there now that when he isn't by me I can't sleep. I keep checking on him... And I miss him.

I have done this to myself. I know it's wrong. I need to get strong and just fix it.

Sigh.
Hopefully I will post soon and have good news to report. ;)

Daddy Time

There is nothing I love more than seeing Colt be a dad to Tag.
Singing him songs and telling him stories, playing pat-a-cake, changing diapers, rocking him to sleep, giving him baths.
I love seeing him get so proud when Tag coos and smiles.
I love hearing him pray for Tag everyday.
I especially love seeing him fall more and more in love with Tag everyday.

Tag & Teagan

Since Tag was born I have sucked at blogging.
I seriously wish I was better.
I re-downloaded my blogger app so hopefully I will better since it will be more convenient. Although it will probably just be a lot more pictures and not a lot of writing because its harder to write on my phone.

Anyway, my best friend Carissa had a baby the same day I had Tag. Little Teagan is beautiful! When the babies were just over 6 weeks Carissa, Brett, Addi and Teagan came to St. George to visit and we finally got to introduce Tag and Teagan!!

I just love these two.
